written because i miss the beach and love
He was a beautiful melody not soon forgotten…
Like playful tip toes on sun roasted seashores.
He moved her like the water…
…Lifted her gently like the sand ticking the underside of their fingertips
As they persuaded the earth to build castles of sand and watched bubble gum flavored cotton candy tie-dye their tongues and lips…
Midday transport to empyrean euphoria…
She swayed her hips to this melodic crux.
They dined beneath an umbrella of satisfaction…
Sticky peanut butter and jelly sandwiches nestled between warm, dry, sand coated skin.
They co-existed somewhere betwixt the two firmaments, in close quarters with perfection.
He played, she sang to him.
He was like a wind song
Warbling for her most beautifully at midnight…
He dematerializes just…before…sunrise…just as she awakens to reach for him.
She misses their compositions and longs in retrospect for their anthems before daybreak.
